Arvada Middle School Reviews

I'm a student at arvada middle, and sadly this school has not focused nor help my abilitys to do my best. All the teachers pay attention to the bad kids and barely have time to learn anything! they should just send them out. Another thing all their foods are high carbs and pizza almost every single day. The princepal gives out big consequences that arnt even needed! it;s ridiculous. Iwent to aurora schools and they taught me so well. And when i come here, i forgot my math and my speeling and grmmar are just horrible now. Arvada middle you better straighten up. Im tired of not getting any work done.!

I am very happy with the new facility and the old. Keep up the great work.

In 2008 NAMS was blessed with an new principal, who previously led Manning school to greatness. It's no surprise the Trip Sargent has improved the quality of teaching and the attitude of the students. Sometimes you can walk into a middle school and feel very uneasy when groups of students are around because they appear hostile or disenfranchised. This year I have noticed an increasingly positive atmosphere, especially because I see students who are happy, excited and at ease in the halls and in the classrooms. My son has not encountered any bad influences from gang wanna-be's or drugs and alcohol or violence or bullying. He is safe walking to school with the hundreds of other neighborhood kids. Academic standards are high and teacher communication is great. I am a hard to please parent, and I have no complaints.

Arvada has change a lot. Discipline, instruction and motivation are the main areas which they are focuing on.

Things have changed since a change in leadership for our school. Discipline is under control, communication with parents is wonderful, and most importantly academics has a direction! Thank you AMS staff for such a positive turn around!

The breakfasts & lunches are nothing but high carbs, teachers do not follow up~discipline of problem students goes unheeded, special education is a joke. Parents dont receive call -backs from teachers, students are bumped from art, music and 'fun things'~one group will get a lot of field trips, the others receive none! I would never put a child there again! Substandard in all areas!
