My grandson loves going to Steck. I was very impressed with the Steck system of dropping off and picking up students.....teachers very obviously concerned about the safety of the students.

The teachers are great!!!! They really care about our children. The standards for the children and Teachers are excellence. There is a lot of parent help in the classrooms which helps children understand that getting a good education is key.

Steck is my alma mater as well as the school for my two kids, one of which has continuated from Steck and has moved on to Hill Middle School. Throughout my elementary school years as well as throughout my kids, Steck has been an exemplary school due to its fantastic and dedicated teaching staff and administration as well as the parents who are always involved and interested in their child's education. In the last 7 years that my kids have been at Steck, it has been rated as an excellent and now distinguished school in the Denver Public School district. In fact, it is 1 out of only 9 elementary schools in the DPS that has been rated as distinguished in the DPS for 2009. I am very proud that my kids have gone or are currently going to Steck, and the benefits of receiving an education at Steck has carried my son into middle school, where he is now excelling as well.

Steck school is one of the richest, most welcoming and warmest schools in the Denver system. The teachers are dedicated, passionate professionals whose main goal is to make learning happen for each and every child. As a parent, I feel extremely blessed for my family to be able to be a part of such a terrific environment.

The faculty, staff and students at Steck all know that the students can do anything they dream of. Parents help out in the classroom so the teachers can focus on smaller groups, and students still get art, gym, music and library/technology. This public school is giving our kids a first-rate education.

Steck is a top-notch school. As the first grade teacher described to the parents today, the kindergarten students came into 1st grade prepared with writing skills! The school expects excellence from teachers, parents, and the students. Academics are a top priority and the caring and expert staff will ensure that every child has the opportunity to meet their highest potential.

I continue to be impressed with Steck and all the good people in the school district. During first grade the teachers notice his learning was not up to speed because of a Montessori background which he attended through kindergarden(different teaching style). Within the first four weeks of school they had him in a focused learning for his reading. This year in 2nd grade he is back on track and learning like a champ. Thanks Steck!!

Excellent ECE program. My child has sensory processing disorder and with the help of the school psychologist, teacher, and special ed dept., he is thriving and loving school!

Not too happy about its location to busy streets and crime rate.

The academics are excellent. The teachers take a genuine interest in their students. Physical health is very important, students participate in gym five days a week. Parents are very involved in the school. They work well with the principal.

My son attended Steck from Kindergarten thru 5th and overall had a really good experience. In our years at Steck, the school continued to get better and better. The principal, Chuck Raisch, is wonderful and the teaching staff is very committed. The music teacher is the best I've ever seen and atmosphere of the school is very warm and inviting.

Great school! Very active partents and great principal. The program focuses on the basics and is on it's way to being Denver's #1 choice school. School is mostly limited only by DPS and its problems, which are typical of a large inner-city public school system.

Chuck Raisch, the Principal, fosters enthusiasm, dedication and excellence in his leadership. He has the uncanny ability to take an interest in every individual student and their family.
